IHE: Livestock, horse judging

Nineteen Brokaw FFA members of Clarinda competed at the Northwest Missouri State University Agriculture Contests at the NWMSU campus on October 11. Four livestock judging teams and two horse judging teams competed.

Above: In the horse judging competition, the two Clarinda teams placed 2nd and 7th out of a total of 38 teams. The 2nd place team consisted of JJ Sunderman, Meghan Walters, and Amanda McNees.  The 7th place team consisted of Emma Sunderman, Bailie Walters, and Talynn Hughes. Meghan Walters finished 2nd individually, JJ Sunderman placed 7th, and Bailie Walters finished 9th out of a total of 123 individuals. 

Below: In the Livestock Judging competition, the four Clarinda teams placed 5th, 7th, 28th, and 32nd out of 67 total teams. Members making up the 5th place team were: Laura Beaver, Nevada Turner, Nikki Berringer, and Sam Eggers. Members making up the 7th place team were: Kam Hartstack, Shadoe Steeve, and Nick Comer. Making up the 28th place team were: Jordan Dammann, Kaela Eggers, and Brandon French. Making up the 32nd place team were: Jordan Barr, Trent Hayden, and Ross Farwell. Individually, the chapter saw seven members finish in the top 50 out of 236 individuals. Those members were: 14th place- Kam Hartstack, 17th place-Ross Farwell, 18th place-Laura Beaver, 19th place- Sam Eggers, 27th place-Jordan Dammann, 32nd place-Nick Comer, and 33rd place-Shadoe Steeve.  Photos courtesy Clarinda Herald-Journal
