Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 12/19/2008
Receipts: 521 Last week: 2276 Last Year: 304
Compared to last week: Steer calves weighing under 650 lbs sold mostly
steady, over 650 lbs steady to 1.00 higher. Heifer calves weighing under 550
lbs sold steady on light test, over 550 lbs 1.00 to 2.00 higher. Yearling
feeder steers and heifers too lightly tested for comparison. Demand moderate
at best. This week's supply was made of about 60 percent feeder steers,
balance feeder heifers. Near 59 percent of the run weighed over 600 lbs.
Next feeder cattle auction will be a Stock Show Special on January 9, 2009.

95.00-99.00; 555-595 lbs 92.50-98.50; 605-635 lb calves 88.50-93.00; 600 lb

765-785 lb calves; couple 780 lb Fleshy 87.50; 961 lb 87.00.
