Feeder Cattle Weighted Average Report for 12/08/2008
Offering: 477
Demand moderate to for this week's Joplin Video Auction. The video
auction was held in conjunction with Joplin's regular Monday feeder cattle
sale. Cattle offered were from Missouri and Arkansas. Cattle will be
gathered, sorted, loaded, with the bulk of the cattle hauled twelve to
sixteen miles and weighed on the truck with a two percent pencil shrink.
Three loads will be weighed on the ground with a three percent pencil shrink.
A four cent slide will apply. Supply included 64 percent steers, 36 percent
heifers, with 100 percent over 600 lbs.
