Oklahoma Direct Feeder Cattle Sales
Trade period reflects Dec 27, 2008 through January 02, 2009
Confirmed: 755 Last Week: none Last Year: 850
Compared to last Friday: Feeder cattle not well tested over the holiday
period. Cattle futures sharply higher today and one feeder sale held this
past week though lightly tested was sharply higher.
Supply consisted of 100 percent over 600 lbs. Heifers comprised 56
percent of supply.
Unless otherwise stated prices are FOB weigh point with a 2-3 percent
shrink or equivalent and with a 5-10 cent slide on calves and 3-6 cent slide
on yearlings from base weights. Current sales up to 14 days for delivery.
