Compared to last week, steers sold steady to 4.00 higher with the most
advance on 500 to 600 lbs and 800 to 900 lbs offerings. Heifers sold steady
to mostly 2.00 higher. Demand was good for the short supply of calves and
feeders. Several lots of high quality (fancy) weaned fall calves sold in the
mix along with some replacement type heifers. Dressed sales on Nebraska
slaughter cattle sold steady to mostly 2.00 lower from 192.00-194.00, mostly
192.00 and lives sales sold unevenly steady from 121.50-123.00. This week?s
feeder supply includes 37 percent steers, 63 percent heifers with near 68
percent of the offering over 600 lbs.
